Dominique’s artwork is bursting with different creations from paintings to pieces by means of spoken word. With this background, Dominique‘s work is inspired by the relationship between art, fabric, and dance. “Choreography was my first form of artistic expression and it is a joy to merge my movement of thought with the movement of my paintbrush, paper and found objects to build texture to create something completely new.” She began her artistic training at an early age under the close tutelage of her mother, an avid painter, seamstress, and dance instructor.

Dominique is a Mixed Media Art Educator who has been devoted to the arts and painting since she was six years old. Drawing activities focused on line, value, tone, negative space, and perspective will encourage the development of drawing as a daily habit. Participants will review methods of paint application, color formation and visual representation. Demonstrations and practical exercises will focus on fundamental drawing properties, shadows, composition, color and texture.
